To give you a better idea about all that our school has to offer we are excited to introduce you to Shirley King, our Preschool Director at Sunshine Learning Centers in Valencia, California.

Hi name is Shirley King and I am the Director at Sunshine Child Care and Learning Center.  We have an amazing staff that I could not be more proud of. They have a passion for teaching and enjoy being with your child each and every day.  I have my Associates Degree in Child Development and have been part of the Sunshine family for 7 years.  I was promoted to Director in 2008 and I absolutely love and enjoy my job each and every day.  One thing that sets us apart from any other preschool is our Character Development Program.  The character program includes monthly character traits and moral principles that are introduced and reinforced on a daily basis.  We have found that children have learned best and respond positively when learning is made fun and boundaries are clearly defined. Our curriculum encourages reading and math readiness, creativity, problem solving, fine motor skills and peer interaction.  Our Pre-K computer program introduces general skills.  We have three playgrounds designed to accommodate our different programs.

We maintain no more than 9:1 student/teacher ratios, most schools operate at 12:1.
