Sean Adachi, School Director
My Sunshine journey started well before I became an employee in 2003. I attended Sunshine’s After School program throughout elementary school and that experience shaped me into the person I am today. I am very proud to be a part of the Sunshine family that has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley for over 30 years and I look forward to passing on that tradition to future generations of students.
Krista Ribbons, Assistant Director
Hi! My name is Krista Ribbons, the assistant director for Sunshine on Wiley Canyon. I have a BA in child development from Cal State Northridge and have worked at Sunshine for 15 years. I have been married for 5 ½ years and have a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy that both attend Sunshine. I love working for Sunshine because I feel that it is the best preschool in the Santa Clarita Valley for its academics and character curriculum.
Hi, my name is Heather Eppenbaugh. I’m currently the half day Pre-K teacher and have worked here at Sunshine for 15 years. I’ve been everything from after-school counselor, front desk, mentor, Preschool and Pre-k teacher. I got married in 2008 to my husband Jacob and we have 2 daughters. My oldest daughter, Katelyn graduated from our TK program last year and my youngest, Hailey will be joining our Pre-k program this fall. I love teaching at Sunshine. I love that our school prepares our students academically, socially and morally for the years to come! Sunshine isn’t just a school I teach at, it’s my 2nd home!
Hi, my name is Jennifer Johnson and I have been working at Sunshine for 17 years. During the 17 years, I have worked here I have had held many different positions including as school age counselor, assistant and head Kindergarten counselor, and have assisted and taught in the preschool, pre –K, and TK classrooms. Now I currently hold the position as after school director at Wiley Canyon Sunshine and I love it. I love Sunshine and everything it stands for. I am a true believer in our character curriculum I think it sets us apart from any other program I have ever worked at. I have been married for 14 years and have two children. My oldest, who is eight, has attended Sunshine since he was three and my youngest, who is three, has been attending since he was two. They also both love Sunshine and always beg to come every day and never want to leave. This says a lot to me and my husband and it makes me proud to work here. Sunshine is like an big extended family not just for my boys but for all the children that come here.
